Privacy Policy — CarCEO Companion (Turo Sync)

What the extension does

CarCEO Companion — Turo Sync is a companion browser extension for car rental operators who use Turo alongside CarCEO PRO. Once you pair it with your CarCEO account, it reads your own host data from the Turo dashboard while you are logged into turo.com and forwards it to CarCEO PRO so your Turo trips, vehicles, and earnings stay in sync with your CarCEO bookings and reports. Apart from the click-triggered "Chat → Quote" capture described below, it does not run on, or collect anything from, any website other than turo.com.

The extension also offers a "Capture" button in its popup that turns a customer conversation (for example in WhatsApp Web, Facebook Marketplace messages, Instagram, or webmail) into a lead in your CarCEO account. This feature only acts when you click the Capture button: at that moment, using the browser's temporary "active tab" permission, it reads the text you have selected on the current page (or, if nothing is selected, the visible conversation area) once, sends it to your own CarCEO PRO account, and stops. The extension has no permission to run on, monitor, or read those websites in the background — a page is only ever read at the moment you explicitly click Capture on it.

Data the extension collects

Only data visible on your own Turo host dashboard when you are logged in:

The extension never reads any Turo data beyond what your logged-in browser session can already see as the account owner.

What the extension does NOT collect

• No general browsing history, and no background data collection from any website other than turo.com. Other pages are read only at the single moment you click the Capture button while viewing them.
• No Turo passwords or credentials — the extension never sees, requests, or stores your Turo password. It relies entirely on your existing logged-in Turo browser session.
• No data belonging to other Turo users, guests, or hosts — only your own host dashboard.
• Nothing is read or transmitted unless you have explicitly paired the extension with your CarCEO PRO account. An unpaired install collects nothing.

Where your data goes

• Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS solely to CarCEO PRO servers (carceo.pro).
• It is stored in your own CarCEO PRO account, associated only with the business that paired the extension.
• We never sell your data, and we never share it with third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.
• It is used solely to provide the Turo sync feature inside your CarCEO PRO account — nothing else.

Optional diagnostics

Diagnostics are off by default. If you choose to enable them, the extension may send technical structure information — such as field names or the shape of a response from turo.com — to help us keep the sync working when Turo changes its website layout. Diagnostics never include your personal values (no earnings figures, names, addresses, or trip content), only the technical shape of the page.

Your control over your data

• Disconnect at any time from the extension popup, or from CarCEO Settings — this immediately invalidates the pairing token, and the extension stops sending data.
• Synced data already stored in your CarCEO account can be deleted from within your account.
• To request deletion of your data, contact [email protected].

Compliance

This extension's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs, and its handling of any data read from Turo, adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements: data is used only to provide and improve the Turo sync feature described above, is never sold, and is never used for advertising or transferred to third parties for unrelated purposes.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Material changes affecting how data is collected or used will also be communicated inside the CarCEO PRO dashboard.
